Shared inbox

One inbox. The AI answers first.

Every conversation from WhatsApp, your website and email lands in the same place. The assistant answers what it can, hands over the moment someone needs a person, and your team picks up the thread without the customer noticing a seam.

01
Handover, not handoff-and-hope

When a visitor asks for a person, the whole team is alerted — on screen and by push notification on a phone — and the AI stops replying to that thread until someone takes it back.

02
You can see what was delivered

Read receipts on every message you send: sent, delivered to the handset, read — and anything that failed says so, with Meta’s own reason.

03
Your number stays on your phone

WhatsApp Coexistence means the number keeps working in the WhatsApp Business app while the AI and your team also work it from the browser. Replies your staff send from their phone appear in the inbox too.

04
A person’s replies are never billed as AI

When your team answers, that costs nothing against your plan’s AI allowance. You pay for what the model does, not for what your staff do.

How it works

1
Filter down to what needs you

Open, pending or resolved; by channel; by who it is assigned to. The queue is the job, so it is the default view.

2
Take over any thread

One click stops the AI on that conversation and puts you in it. One click hands it back when you are done.

3
Set office hours

Outside your hours the assistant says so and takes a message, rather than promising a reply nobody is there to send.

4
Close the loop

Resolve a conversation and the analytics record whether the AI or a person closed it — so you can see what the assistant is actually taking off your team.

What it will not do

Worth knowing before you sign up, not after.

  • Inbound WhatsApp media (images, voice notes, documents) is fetched and shown, but the AI reads text; it does not transcribe voice notes.
  • WhatsApp only permits free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message. Outside that window an approved template is required — the inbox tells you which state a thread is in.
  • There is no round-robin auto-assignment; a thread is picked up by whoever takes it, or assigned by hand.

Questions

Can my team use WhatsApp on their phones as well?

Yes. With Coexistence the number stays in the WhatsApp Business app, and anything staff send from there is mirrored into the shared inbox so nothing is lost.

How many people can share the inbox?

Starter includes 3 team members, Pro 10 and Scale 50. Extra seats are $12 each per month on any plan.

Do I get notified when someone needs a human?

Yes — in the console immediately, and as a push notification on your phone if you enable it. You choose which team members are alerted, per bot and per event.
